Let me preface this by saying that I haven’t seen the original French series it’s based on. I’m also a huge Fassbunder fan, so take that into consideration. I’ve seen others criticize the writing. I just don’t agree at all. It can be very mysterious and a little vague at times, but it all builds and keeps me very intrigued and interested. I felt that the other main actors were very solid in their roles so far. Fassbender is great, but a bit subdued. Although that will obviously change based on the upcoming previews. Also actress Jodie Turner. Smith is new to me, but I’m loving her so far. You can feel things really simmering beneath the surface, so I’m looking forward to the next episodes.
