Fun Challenge – Make An Aphorism
Aphorism – a pithy observation that contains a general truth; a concise statement of a scientific principle, typically by an ancient classical author
derived from the Greek word for ‘definition’
Hippocrates introduced the aphorism with his first and most famous one: “Life is short, art is long”.
Examples:
- Don’t judge a book by it’s cover
- The grass is always greener on the other side
- Curiosity killed the cat
- Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer
- Honesty is the best policy
