Your self-love challenge this week is to explore the yin and yang of life. This might seem a little “woo” to you, so if it does, just focus on the word “balance”.
The first thing to do is to educate yourself on what exactly yin and yang energies are. This site does a pretty good job of explaining the differences, and even has a nice simple chart of the different traits.
Basically, yin energy is “being”, and yang energy is “doing”. So think of like recharging self-care at home versus going out in the world getting shit done. Both are valuable skills to have in your toolbox, but if we only do one for too long or at all, we can become exhausted, drained, or bored and disconnected. It’s all about balance.
Think about your life. Do you feel balance? There will never truly be ultimate balance. Everyone is always working on it. But if one part of your life is a 10 and the other is a 1, you might want to work on nurturing the 1 area a little bit to create some balance.
